PreStart360 by Commodo

A clearer start.
Every working day.

Daily pre-start checks for every vehicle and machine in your fleet.

Drivers complete today's inspection and odometer reading on their phone. Fleet managers see what has been done, what failed and what is coming due, all in one place.

  • Works in any web browser, no app to install
  • Your own address, logo and colours
  • Midday reminders for checks not yet done
Illustration with sample data, based on the PreStart360 driver and dashboard screens.

The daily workflow

From assignment to follow-up.

  1. 01

    Assign assets

Fleet managers assign each vehicle or machine to its drivers, with start and end dates, so everyone knows what they are checking.

  2. 02

    Check on the phone

Drivers open today's checks, answer each item pass, fail or not applicable, add comments and photos, and record the odometer reading.

  3. 03

    Remind at midday

On weekdays, drivers with checks still outstanding get one email listing them. Leave, sick days and fleet holidays are skipped.

  4. 04

    Follow up

The dashboard shows today's progress, failed inspections, assets without a driver, and registrations and services coming due.

An inspection records what the driver reported. It supports your safety process; passing a checklist does not, by itself, certify that a vehicle is safe to use.

Built around each role

Everyone sees what they need.

Drivers

One card per assigned asset, on their phone.

  • Today's inspection: pass, fail or N/A for each item, with comments
  • Up to ten photos per inspection, uploaded with progress and retry
  • Save a draft during the day, then submit
  • Today's odometer reading, correctable the same day
  • Their own history, leave and sick days

Fleet managers

The whole fleet at a glance.

  • Today's completion, failed inspections and unassigned assets
  • Registration and service due dates and distances
  • Assets, driver assignments and checklists for each asset type
  • Inspection and reading history, searchable, with CSV export
  • Fleet and driver calendars, and email reminders per person

Administrators

Control over people and records.

  • Invite users and choose each person's role
  • Disable accounts when people leave; their records stay
  • Correct a submitted inspection, with the change audited
  • Settings such as registration warning periods

The details that matter

Records you can rely on.

Your checklists

Checks are set up for each asset type, so a forklift and a ute each get the right questions.

History stays true

Checks are retired rather than edited, so past inspections keep the wording drivers answered.

Nothing is deleted

Assets are disabled, readings corrected and photos removed privately, so the history is kept.

Photos as evidence

JPEG, PNG or WebP photos attach to the inspection, with location and camera details stripped.

Your brand

Each organisation has its own address, such as yourcompany.prestart360.com.au, with its logo and colours.

Invitation only

Accounts are created by invitation. Drivers, fleet managers and administrators each see only what their role allows.

Calendars that count

Leave, sick days and fleet holidays are recorded as plain dates and respected by reminders.

Australian time

Days, due dates and reminders follow Queensland business time, without time-zone surprises.

Before you get started

Questions from the fleet office.

How can we get access?

Email Commodo to discuss your fleet, existing checklists and access requirements. Enquiries do not create an account; once your site is set up, your administrator invites your team.

Do drivers need to install an app?

No. PreStart360 is a web application that works in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. It needs an internet connection.

Can we use our own checklists?

Yes. Checklists are set up for each asset type, such as vehicles, forklifts or trailers. Fleet managers can add checks and retire ones that are no longer needed.

What happens when a check fails?

The driver explains the failure and can add photos. The asset appears in the dashboard's failed inspections until a later inspection passes, so the fleet office can follow it up.

Where do our users sign in?

Each organisation has its own PreStart360 address, shown with its own logo and colours. New users get an invitation email with a link to set their password.

Can we bring our existing records?

Talk to us about bringing your existing assets, users and inspection history across when your site is set up. What is possible depends on where they are kept today.
